Water Suppression System
Preaction System
A preaction system is a type of fire suppression system that combines the benefits of both dry and wet sprinkler systems. The preaction system is equipped with a network of pipes filled with compressed air or nitrogen that holds back the water from the sprinkler heads until a fire is detected. Once a fire is detected, the preaction valve opens, and water flows into the pipes and out through the sprinkler heads to extinguish the fire.
Deluge System
A deluge system is a type of fire suppression system that uses open sprinkler heads to spray large amounts of water or foam onto a fire. The system is activated by a heat or smoke detector, which triggers a valve to open and release the water or foam through all the sprinkler heads simultaneously. Unlike other sprinkler systems, the deluge system is not designed to be selective, and all the sprinkler heads release water or foam at once, covering a large area quickly. Deluge systems are commonly used in industrial settings, such as chemical plants and refineries, where a fast and aggressive response to a fire is necessary to prevent catastrophic damage.
Foam Suppression System
Buckeye BUG-EYE™ Platinum foam concentrate contains MicroBlaze microbes for total remediation of hydrocarbon and polar solvent fuels. The foam blanket not only has the ability to extinguish the fire, but will also digest the residual hydrocarbon and polar solvents, converting them into harmless carbon dioxide and water. For fire-fighting purposes, it functions by generating or forming an aqueous film on Class B Hydrocarbon type fuels or a polymeric membrane on polar solvent/water miscible type fuels.
